Terms and Conditions

By accessing NIYA’s services (online or in-person), clients acknowledge and agree to the following terms to support a safe, therapeutic, and respectful experience.

The Therapeutic Process

Choosing to engage in therapy is a significant and courageous step toward personal growth. At NIYA, we deeply honour your willingness to embark on this journey. Please know:

  • Therapy is not a quick fix or a guaranteed cure. It is a collaborative process that unfolds over time.
  • Progress may bring emotional discomfort. You may recall difficult memories, feel overwhelmed, or experience strong emotions such as anger, sadness, or anxiety. This is a natural part of the healing process.
  • Sustainable change often involves working through uncomfortable thoughts, behaviours, or patterns.
  • While specific outcomes or changes in your external circumstances cannot be guaranteed, you can expect our full commitment to support you with care, clinical skill, and a grounded, attentive presence throughout your therapeutic journey. Your willingness to engage honestly and consistently will significantly influence your progress.
  • Together, we aim to help you understand repeating patterns, explore what truly matters to you, and clarify the changes you seek in your life.

Eligibility: By accessing our services, clients confirm they are 18 years or older. For clients under 18, therapy is provided only with parent/guardian consent and ongoing involvement as appropriate.

Intellectual Property: All materials shared during sessions, workshops, or via our website—including text, audio-visual content, guides, and logos—are the intellectual property of NIYA. Any reproduction, distribution, or commercial use without prior written permission is strictly prohibited.
