Privacy Policy
We are committed to creating a safe, ethical, and confidential space—where your personal information, emotions, and experiences are respected and protected.
- Information Collected: Name, contact information, clinical and psychosocial history, session notes, and payment details.
- Data Handling: Stored securely using HIPAA-compliant and encrypted systems. Access is limited to relevant clinical and administrative staff.
- Data Protection and Third-Party Sharing: To facilitate communication, session bookings, and secure payments, NIYA may share limited user or client data with trusted third-party service providers—such as email/SMS gateways, scheduling platforms (e.g., PracFlow), and payment gateways (e.g., Razorpay). These providers are expected to maintain appropriate data protection and security measures. Each third-party service has its own privacy policy and terms of use, which you automatically agree to when using their platform. These supplemental terms are readily available on their respective booking or payment pages. We encourage you to review them for your own understanding. NIYA works only with partners committed to protecting your privacy and supporting ethical mental health care.
- Confidentiality: Everything shared in sessions is treated with strict confidence.
- Limits to Confidentiality:
- Risk of harm to self or others
- Suspicion or report of abuse, exploitation, or neglect (especially concerning minors or vulnerable individuals)
- When required by court order or applicable law
- Telehealth Privacy:
- Clients are expected to attend online sessions from a private, undisturbed, and secure space.
- NIYA is not responsible for breaches of confidentiality on the client’s side (e.g., attending from public or shared locations).
- Group Therapy & Peer Spaces:
- Confidentiality is a shared responsibility. NIYA reinforces ethical conduct but cannot guarantee the actions of other participants.
- Intern & Trainee Involvement: At times, senior interns or trainees (under supervision) may observe or participate in sessions, with your prior informed consent. You may choose to decline their presence without affecting your care.
